[vsnet-obs 33860] Observations for May 18-19-20, 2001

Estimates made on May 18-19 (before a clouds front) and 19-20 (during a star
party at Los Cardales, Bs As).
In a dark sky such as Los Cardales', color effects are more pronnounced.
Blue stars become bluer since dark sky makes rods work harder.
Red stars need to be seen carefully. I "calibrate" my eyes with a couple of
different color stars and then I can apply the techniques I always use.

** Eta Carinae seems to be brightening slowly. Probably the SDOR phase is
starting a new rising branch.
