Dear friends:
I wasn't used to observing In or Is stars, but I've
realized it is very interesting. These stars can vary strongly just in
minutes!!!
I was surprised to see UX Ori different every day I
observed it. Furthermore, I noticed that when I wasn't observing, my gaps
were covered by other observers and one could see fadings and risings all
the time.
Tonight I witnessed part of the process in BF Orionis. The
star rose almost half a magnitude in less than 30 minutes. It was very
interesting to see this "real time variability" taking place.
And speaking of the "nova", it is very strange that the
star stays put at 9.1. It looks like one of the most constant stars I've
seen lately !! :-))
Here is my report.
Bad conditions: haze and moonlight. And the city with 35挫 at 10 PM !!!...
