[vsnet-obs 3224] slow decline of the standstill of RX And

One of our colleagues, Tsutomu Watanabe (VSOLJ), has pointed out the
recent trend of slow decline seen in the light curve of RX And, which
is presently experiencing an unusually long standstill.

The table below shows monthly averaged visual magnitudes from vsnet-obs
observations. The trend is evident.

    mid-UT <mv> S.D. N
  ------------------------------
  950525.359 11.491 0.180 3
  950625.715 11.336 0.222 14
  950717.896 11.452 0.221 46
  950817.863 11.371 0.223 87
  950917.573 11.448 0.191 56
  951019.021 11.488 0.223 52
  951116.317 11.345 0.213 61
  951218.647 11.264 0.159 56
  960117.733 11.362 0.178 44
  960212.550 11.363 0.153 46
  960311.041 11.450 0.154 30
  960426.941 11.340 0.211 2
  960518.202 11.587 0.305 5
  960616.690 11.734 0.139 12
  960711.132 11.847 0.139 29

Does this phenomenon indicate decreasing mass-transfer from the secondary?
May this standstill cease shortly after this?
