Yesterday evening I had a chance to look at rho Cas with my naked eye from
35000 ft over France from the dark flight deck (working as an airline captain)
and made a visual estimate of its brightness. At 2015 UTC on Aug 22nd 2000 rho
Cas looked like having the same visual magnitude as tau Cas and was
significantly dimmer than sigma Cas. So its mv was 5.1 mag at the mentioned
time, if my data about tau Cas are correct.
