New list: vsnet-image

Dear Colleagues,

   We have set up a new (special) list for distributing image attachments.
The list is "vsnet-image".  When you need to post images (e.g. supernova
images) to some of VSNET list, please use this list and avoid using
other existing lists.  The accepted images are GIF, JPEG, TIFF, FITS and
other image formats, and should be embedded in the MIME-encoding format
(this can be usually done by using "attachment" function of conventional
mailers).  The image should be approximately less than 1 megabyte.

   CAUTION: NEVER SEND IMAGES TO VSNET-OBS, VSNET-ALERT ETC., OTHER THAN
            VSNET-IMAGE

   Submitted files are stored under the following VSNET public ftp site:

   http://ftp.kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp/pub/vsnet/Mail/vsnet-image

   And will be converted to html and binary files usually within two
hours.  The html archive is at:

   http://vsnet.kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp/vsnet/Mail/vsnet-image/maillist.html

   Since the attached images will be stored in sequential numbers,
please add in the text body the original file name (such as ngc1234.jpg)
in order to retain the original file information.

   Those who wish to receive these images by e-mails should send a
subscription message to vsnet-adm@kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp with a line

   SUBSCRIBE vsnet-image e-mail address
