Hello,
The following estimates were made with a 17.5" (44.5 cm) dobsonian =
reflector at 380x:
SN 1999gi NGC 3184 14.5 31 December 10:30 UT
SN 1999gn M 61 15.6 31 December 10:45 UT
SN 1999go NGC 1376 15.8 31 December 03:15 UT
The estimate for SN 1999gn may be on the faint side. The background =
glow of the spiral arm made the estimate difficult.
