And here are my estimates, from Mauna Kea:
*** V382 Velorum *** May 26 UT ***
1999 May 26.271 UT: mv=3.97+-0.06 Naked Eye, Mauna Kea, HI (16 comparisons)
1999 May 26.283 UT: mv=3.92+-0.09 B7x50 , Mauna Kea, HI (11 comparisons)
Sequence from BHG 1999 May 22,
--- VSNET format ------------------
VELV382 990526.271 40 BIV N.Biver (Mauna-Kea, HI, USA)
VELV382 990526.283 39 BIV N.Biver (Mauna-Kea, HI, USA)
(The second one is with 7x50 Binoculars)
Sky is still very good, but NLM around 4.8 at the Nova elevation due to strong
Moon light.
