Subject: sn1999by ccd photometry
Dear Dr Kato, I imaged SN 1999by tonight 1999 May 14.93201 using the
33cm f/3 automatic reflector at Conder Brow Observatory (iau code 978)
and an unfiltered SXL8 CCD camera and the reduced magnitude was 13.2
using NGC 2841 3 =GSC3431-0053 =V13.51 as the comparision.
Using the same comparision star I found that NGC2841 5 =GSC3431-0159 was
13.47 rather than 14.19 as listed in vsnet chart 151. Has this star been
suspected of variability on previous occasions? Using the same
comparision star on 990503.950 I found it at magnitude 14.2 (very close
to its listed value of 14.19)
Best wishes
Denis
