[vsnet-obs 19618] Recent observation of BZ UMa

Visual magnitude estimate by P. Schmeer, Bischmisheim, Germany:

BZ URSAE MAJORIS (UGSU:)
Mar. 6.84 UT, [13.5
Instrument: 203-mm SCT
Sequence: Henden (V magnitudes)

Eddy Muyllaert's observation indicates that BZ UMa is now at full maximum
as expected. The time interval of merely 1.8 days between Gene Hanson's
and Jose Ripero's observations (cf. vsnet-recent 8390) would have been too
short for this dwarf nova to rise from its quiescence to a normal outburst
(about mag 11) and fade back to mag 14.1. Unless BZ UMa stays at mag 10-11
for at least another two nights this outburst will just be another normal
one. Anyway, high-speed photometry is strongly recommended.

Regards,
Patrick
