During a survey of V419 Lyr history, I have noticed a (probably) little- known literature concerning the popular(?) target KX Aql, which experienced a short faint outburst in 1994 Dec. G. A. Garbusov (Perem. Zvezdy suppl. 3, 639, 1979) gave following outbursts from 550 Moscow & Simeiz plates. JD mag 2436432-4 12.9-12.7 37964 15.0 38943 13.2 (negative in the table?) D. Hoffleit (HB No.887, 1932) gave two outburst dates: JD 2425152 and 2426272. From these data, Garbusov concluded that the outburst cycle of KX Aql should be ~1000 days. "Outburst Activity Data on Selected Cataclysmic Variables" by Vanmunster and Howell lists several additional outbursts recorded recently. Before 1994, no definite outbursts had been recorded since a bright one in 1980 despite close monitoring. Am I correct? I hope this information would supplement our knowledge on this object.
