Subject: Nova Sgr 2002 #2 + new object?

Taichi,

Sorry for the delay in reporting these - I've been travelling in the
Outback for a few days and just got home. After an 800km drive...

Observations from last night, while camped on the southern shore of
Lake Eyre. Air clarity spoiled by strong wind containing dust, and a
full moon:

# SGRnova2002#2 20020921.46 5.9: Far
SGRnew?object 20020921.48 6.1: Far

Latter object's approximate location 19h02m -22.0d. Nothing plotted
there in Sky Atlas 2000 or my Binocular Variables charts.

Another nova? Or chart error? Could not check it tonight because of
cloud.

cheers,
Fraser Farrell

[N.B. The observation of SGRnova2002#2 has been commented out because it is
likely a mis-identification].

Taichi,

I should have read my incoming email first. Haseda-san discovers
things more quickly than I do! ;-)

cheers,
