[vsnet-j 2281] Possible Nova (2002 No. 3) in Sgr, prediscovery observation by Toshihiko Tanaka

Possible Nova (2002 No. 3) in Sgr, prediscovery observation by Toshihiko Tanaka
Toshihiko Tanaka (Mie, Japan) has reported a photograph (Sep. 19.424 UT)
showing the new object. The object was as bright as on Haseda's discovery
photograph. The object was notably blue, suggesting that the presumably nova
was caught just before the maximum. Although it is difficult to make an
accurate measurement, I estimated a magnitude of 5.5:.
