I was so interested to see the preprint of the paper on WR 106.    I have
been monitoring it (and lots of othet WRs) for a few years, and witnessed
the fading of WR 106,but unfortunately from March 26 to April 25 of the year
2000 I was unable to observe because I had fallen and hurt myself and was
unable to get to the telescope for that whole month, but fortunately for my
mental wellbeing I recovered in time to see the star brighten again
Therefore I am so pleased that your Japanese colleagues were able to cover
that fading so well.
