This is a very red star, which appears bright on unfiltered CCD images. The Tycho color (B-V) is apparently an underestimate caused its proximity to the detection limit. Kept in this list so that this report will not be immediately registered as a detection of a newly outbursting object... At this location, a check at the ASAS-3 page would be helpful. It would be recommended for the reporter to check this before reporting a possibly unusual event. Dear colleagues, on observing Brh V137 (GSC 5749_1622) last night (Sept. 24) I noticed that the GSC-star 5749_531 (in a distance of 22' nw) was considerably brighter than in the GUIDE8-chart. (S. enclosed Frame.) Data from the Tycho catalog: Right ascension (J2000): 20h18m37.1202s, Declination: -12 17' 27.893" BT magnitude 12.316, VT magnitude 11.027 USNO-A2-Cat.: R 10.4, V 11.1 and B 12.3 mag. Compared with my photometric measuring there is a increase of about 3.8 mag.! The used instrument is a TeleView 5"/f=509mm telescope and OES-LcCCD12-Camera (KODAK-Chip K1600) without filter.
