     As an alternative, for known/designated variables, probably vsnet-id
is as good a place as any.  Remember that the Moscow GCVS group are the
final arbiters, and in case of ambiguous IDs, they should be relied upon
to do the most thorough job of tracking the original discovery back into
the literature, and indeed to the archive plates, e.g.:
