Yes, of course it is possible (with high S/N spectroscopy). I hope Ohashi-san (studying with this method) would explain more ;-). Zeeman splitting is also observed in polars, which have high magnetic fields. Regarding Fourier, this is a very extensive field of mathematics, and I hope someone could explain -- but I would advise you to read a book entitled with this topic, or select a more technical book on signal analysis.
