   I once surveyed this field to check the difference between Hipparcos/
Tycho magnitudes and traditional variable star charts.  As far as I remember,
there was a big difference between modern V and Harvard visual photometry,
which was probably used in many traditional variable star charts.
Could it have resulted the difference?
