Though I haven't tried yet. Yes, I didn't know the ASAS-3 survey has put to public availability the measurements of ALL stars in their database, including constant ones. But it is a fact and we now have one of the improvements we have been asking for a long while... The checking of the RS Oph area against Henden's photometry and the study of a lot of other fields have shown that ASAS-3 magnitudes from 2452350 (new camera) are good to the 0.05 mag. level for stars fainter than 7.1 and brighter than 12 or 13. No more false sequences for stars in the range 10-13 mag. This is a great step. I was tired of using UCAC-1, USNO B1.0, Tych0-2 and every catlogued possible only to derive an approximation of a star's magnitude... Obviously this needs getting used to the catalogue, responsible use and improvements but it's there for us.... although.... the variables in the fields of those comparison stars.... they'll have been measured too!!!! Nevermind, my binocular eclipsing binaries are saturated in ASAS-3 !!!!!! ;-))) Regards, Sebastian.
