R CrB: how deep was the deepest minimum?
According to the GCVS, the minimum magnitude of R CrB is given as 14.8v
(possibly a visual magnitude). The star doesn't seem to have reach far
fainter than V=14.0 recently. Could there have been a real such a deep
minimum in the past, or could it have been a systemtic difference between
the old and new comparison stars?
Regards,
Taichi Kato
