I have fixed this. The final name in the following reports/circulars will be 1RXS_J025538.2-224655 in coming issues. There is no necessity for a change in the observer's side. # The only work I did was to issue two commands: rename a star in the database # and register an alias. This would illustrate a design concept of the # managing system of a massive variable star database. > Does this designation exist? Or should only "1RXSJ064359.1-205234" be used? > (the same may apply to other RX/1RXS objects) Some of the "RX" designations were what I assigned when the full ROSAT catalogs were not yet available. The naming convention followed the other "RX" designations used by several authors. I will keep using these designations unless there is a serious possibility of confusion. (However, which is a preferred name when both 1RXS and 1RXP detections are present for the same object?) Regards, Taichi Kato
