This is a pretty cool effort. I just have one request, regarding:

Can't we carry out the discussion of these stars on this list? I really don't
need yet another e-mail list to monitor, and I already get a lot of duplicated
content (items addressed to both the AAVSO list and one or more of the
plethora of vsnet lists. The content falls perfectly in line with this list,
why don'y we keep it together?
