I should also point out that observers only see the JD text boxes
if they enable the "Compute JD" checkbox. If this box is unchecked,
JD options are not seen.

This value is output from a carefully tested routine. We do
not truncate or otherwise tamper with that result. And yes, it is
obviously too many significant figures.

I have been watching the discussion of R CrB fading. Why is 
this star not a target for CCD imaging? It would be very easy
to make images with a small short-focus lens at 1 minute
intervals, and the result would be impersonal and free of the
devastatingly huge scatter in the visual estimates.
