Yeah, I'm just talking about the no-brainer stuff. I don't discard any observations. 1. Correct field. 2. Correct variable star. 3. Current chart or sequence. 4. Properly dark subtracted and flat-fielded images. 5. 2 to 5 comp stars that agree. 6. Reasonable aperture sizes. 7. Correct entry of comp star magnitudes. 8. Correct time. I set my PC clock to the atomic clocks every night before I go out and write UTC to my FITS headers automatically. I usually double-check computed JD on the USNO site. 9. Accurate reporting of the variable name, dates and magnitudes. Michael Koppelman
