Dear Colleagues,
the period estimates involved with the WZ Sge campaign has something of very exciting.
For the first time, I started to use some software able to do PDM analysis: PDMWIN V3.0
and AVE 2.5, bothdownloadable from the VSNET website.
But I noticed some differences, using the same parameters. For example, with my latest
run, PDMWIN gives a period of 0.0576d, while AVE gives 0.0559d. Quite interesting, AVE
gives a second minimum for theta at 0.0576d, the same value as the first software. Is
there any explanation for this? Comments, suggestions?
Regards,
Gianluca
