Hi Berto and whomever else is interested.

You go to :-
http://cdsweb.u-strasbg.fr/CDS.html
Click on the Aladin link at the top
wait for the JAVA online stuff to load
then load an image of your field from any survey
then load and overlay usno A2.0 stars for that field via VizieR tab in the
load dialogue
then load and overlay ucac1 stars for that field from same VizieR tab
these will be different coloured symbols.
Heck , you can even overlay 2mass positions, msx5c positions, gsc 1.1, 1.2
or ACT positions, and hopefully in a coupla months GSC2.2 ones, and all
SIMBAD contained objects, and just click on the symbols and get full
details in a status at bottom, and even follow links from these to other
bits of the CDS VizieR, SIMBAD or bibliographic services, and from the
latter then on to the ADS and the actual papers, and so on, and so forth, etc!
Anyway, that way you can see ucac1 mags and usno A2.0 colours together all
at once easily identifiable as the same star from the survey plate image
objects you are using to overlay them upon.
It seems to be a seriously under used top quality facility does this. I
even used it to plot up mis V0380 [in SIMBAD] and the msx5c candidate [in
VizieR] and the MAMA CAI digitized DSS2 plates [part of Aladin, and the
only easy source of the MAMA CAI digitizatoins that I know of] the other day.
And you can export the lot to a bitmap graphics file on your harddisk, or
fits if you must.
