A good recommendation for completed, finished, lists and catalogues such
as the NGC; but a bit shortsighted for an inherently incomplete catalogue
like the GCVS.
What happens after "V9999" which we will surely reach in some
constellations? Then it will be just like the Y2K Problem! Or do the
Strasbourg people plan to start then an entirely new catalogue with a
more sensible name system?
The "New GCVS" perhaps, with all those letter designations replaced by
"V1" to "V334", and continuing from "V335" up to "V(millions)"?
