Awaiting an incoming Pacific storm, with precursor clouds already
over Flagstaff, I went with visiting astronomer Sue Lederer to hear a
group of college students playing jazz tonight at a coffeehouse downtown.
I can think of only one or two things better (ahem) than hearing the
revived spirits of Parker, Monk, Miles, and Coltrane while waiting for
the clouds to pass by.
