[vsnet-chat 4199] A star near NSV 6160

While in the field of NSV 6160, I found a large magnitude discrepance for a
nearby star.
I am using Tycho 2 magnitudes.

The star in question is GSC 7275 1964, V= 11.07, B-V= 0.77 .

The comparison stars are:

GSC 7275 1593, V= 10.34, B-V= 1.11
GSC 7275 1781, V= 10.61, B-V= 0.37
GSC 7275 1145, V= 10.83, B-V= 1.05

No problems between comparison stars. They all seem to be right, but last
night, while looking for more comparisons for the symbiotic, I estimated:

GSC 7275 1964= 10.34 (2) V (1) 10.61 = 10.5

Given its yellow color there would be no problem such as brightening by
using averted vision (blue stars) or brightening by Purkinje effect (red
stars).
I'd bet that it is just a problem with the Tycho 2 magnitude, so I'm asking
if someone somewhere has some PEP measurements on this star.
Or maybe Bruce Sumner can give the UCAC1 magnitude, that sometimes has
proved to be "not so bad" for stars of this brightness.
(As when we compared the Tycho 2 and UCAC1 magnitudes for the V348 Sgr
sequence).

Ultimately, this would be a variable star. But with this color, I don't
think so.

regards,
Sebastian.
