Okay,
Here's the Hipparcos Epoch Photometry data for the Hipparcos discovered
variable DK Cam = HIP 20779.
The first part is the "header" which is used to explain the data held in
the catalogue... ...this is standard format for HIP EP and if you search
the web pages you used for the HIP lightcurve you should be able to find
instructions if you're confused. Columns are separated by the | character
[again, standard].
Column HT1 is the Barycentric Julian Date of observation, which is very
little different from HJD; HT2 is the Hipparcos Photometric Magnitude [Hp];
HT3 is the standard deviation on the magnitude; HT4 is probably the
background noise level or something... ...basically the data is not good if
HT4 is large.
Actually, the estec website should also carry an interactive "form" that
allows you to access this sort of data for any particular HIP star
interactively online [you have to know the HIP number].
With regards the period, if Chris Lloyd is still out there, he may well be
able to get at a period for you using both your data and the Hipparcos
Epoch Photometry, but I'll leave that up to Chris.
Incidentally, Tycho Epoch Photometry is probably also available, which
carries two colours [BT-VT], which may be informative if this is an eclipser.
