There is no wonder if a system has both characteristics of a dwarf nova
and an intermediate polar. GK Per is an intermediate polar, but still
shows dwarf nova-type outbursts. Even the same author has discussed
DO Dra both in the context of an intermediate polar and the dwarf nova-type
outburst phenomenon above the period gap (which is usually considered as
UGSS-type). Example of the latter, cf. Simon 2000, As Ap 354, 103.
