Thanks to Brian for the tips...
It looks like these plates are showing NSV 14652 in outburst, as already
stated by others.
Closer inspection reveals different brightnesses between the 1993 J
plates anyway.
The fact that the "bright" star to the North in the following file
http://vsnet.nofs.navy.mil/tmp/fchaahyxa_sn0537.000.jpg
has twinned itself is also intriguing.
