Subject: [vsnet-chat 0] Bright Supernova pages

Those of you who have been using the link:
http://vsnet.ggw.org/freenet/a/asras/supernova.html
to get to my "Bright Supernova" pages will now find that this link is
a redirect to:
http://vsnet.ggw.org/asras/snimages

The old "freenet/a" directory will be removed soon on ggw.org, so please update
your links.

You can also use:
http://vsnet.ggw.org/asras/supernova.html
if you don't like the HTML Frames.

I am also now mirroring at:
http://vsnet.supernovae.net/snimages/ (replacing the "Latest SNe" and "Links"
pages)
http://vsnet.sai.msu.su/mirrors/isn/snimages/ (SAI mirror of ISN pages)
Please use the one that is fastest from your location.

I've been keeping track of Supernovae now for 4 years, and I have amassed
a collection of some 5000 supernova images on my pages. You will
also find an small icon image of every current SN, photometry reference images,
and a very extensive "links" page. There is also a section on posting
observations,
with a link that will subscribe, unsubscribe, or post to any Supernova related
SIG that I know about.

A new section is the "Image Gallery" which is linked to from the menu bar, or
you can get at it directly with:
http://vsnet.ggw.org/asras/snimages/best_img.html
This gallery contains some of the best Supernova images that I have been able
to find on the web.

Another new section is the "News" section, which is on the main "supernova.html"
page. You can access from the index or directly with:
http://vsnet.ggw.org/asras/supernova.html#News
The news section will have notes on observing specific SN,
and a list of the current brightness of all SN over mag 17.0 in order of their
brightness. To access an individual SN you can use:
http://vsnet.ggw.org/asras/supernova.html#2000cs
Note that as supernovae fade below observability they are removed from the main
page and place in the archives.
