Re: [vsnet-chat 3327] microquasar In terms of variability (the often transient nature of activity), the known Galactic microquasars more resemble blazars. So the terminology microblazar looks more adequate to me ;-). Optically violently vaiable QSOs (OVV-QSOs) are one of main subgroups of blazars, which look more analogous to microquasars than classical quasars, so one might wish to subdivide microquasars into OVV-microquasars. In fact, people seem to start forgetting "S" in QSO represents "stellar", but quasar is an independent entity in galactic or cosmological astronomy. I remember I have been suggested not to write blazar papers on BL Lac itself on the (widely believed?) reason that BL Lac is a variable star, not an extragalactic object. Regards, Taichi Kato
