Any IRAS object with 25/60/100-micron detections and where the 12-micron
flux is less than the 25-micron flux is some sort of nonstellar object:
PN, HII region, galaxy. Galaxies usually peak at either 60 or 100 microns.
At any rate, things without strong 12-micron IRAS flux should be looked at
on sky survey plates.
