   The HS CV identifications of ROSAT sources apparently began with the
north pole.  The location at Hamburg doesn't seem to allow pretty southern
CVs.  (So you will probably have much chance to get new identifications
from the ROSAT catalog).

   Well, there was at least one person in the VSOLJ who began checking
variability of *all* ROSAT sources, with a hope of discovering new CVs.
I don't know whether he could get lower declination to +80 deg...
