While I don't doubt Brian's paper trail on determining
the spectral type, it still worries me that a star is
called 'M8' when it has a (B-V) of 0.9.  You could have
a composite spectrum, of course, or some sort of IR companion
or dust excess.  I'd like to know the reason.
