Visual observation of V1494 Aql color and spectrum
Using a 25-cm telescope, the nova looked pale yellow (Dec. 2) and
slightly orangish (Dec. 3). Through an objective grism, tonight I saw
the spectrum of a nova visually for the first time. On the "rainbow"
continuum, the H-alpha emission seemed to be perceived. I wonder whether
someone else has had a similar experience.
