Please don't discotinue submitting discovery reports and observations
to the mailing list. There are already several "new variable" pages,
as the MISAO project has already one, but are rarely truly functioning
to the people outside the project group. Variable star researchers and
observers are often too busy to check all such pages to see whether
a new variable star has been observed otherwise. Indeed, I have no time
to check Web pages to collate new VS reports (TmzV, MisV etc.) with them.
The reports to VSNET are duly archived, information automatically extracted,
and they become publicly available using a "single" interface. Each e-mail
provides a unique URL (VSNET html e-mail archive), which can be cited as
a reference in papers (the existence of such URLs is one of the reason
why "single variable - single posting" has been preferred.
Of course, citation of image or other related URLs are (as Yoshida-san
has already done) is highly welcomed.
