XTEJ1859+226: reply from Samus
Subject: Re: XTE J1859+226
Dear Prof. Kato,
As you know, normally we give GCVS names in Name-lists appearing in the
IBVS from time to time. In special cases of bright Novae or cases of
considerable confusion (GM Sgr), following recommendations from Dan Green,
we give names as soon as possible. The 75th Name-list is practically
ready, each "special case" delays its publication. I have looked into the
case of XTE J1859+226 with attention. Of course it is not the first case
of an X-ray nova. The star is faint, and I don't expect much confusion.
Nevertheless, following your suggestion, I have asked Dan Green to express
his opinion.
Thank you, and best regards
Kolya Samus
