I have compared Arne Henden's NGC 5468 (SN 1999cp) field photometry
with that posted by Kevin Krisciunas yesterday (see:
http://vsnet.astro.washington.edu/kevin/apo.html), which were also obtained
on only one or two nights. For the six stars in common, the difference in
V is zero +/- 0.02 mag.; in B-V, the differences are much larger and with
quite a lot of scatter (-0.04 +/- 0.04, in the sense that Henden is bluer).
Kevin provides complete BVRI data for most of the stars, and the three
colors (B-V, V-R, and V-I) are internally consistent. This doesn't
necessarily mean his are better numbers, but the presently available B-V
colors are a little uncertain.
