   It may be worth identifying _all_ CoD stars with GSC (is there a resource
on such?).  I have heard Sato-san (VSOLJ) has checked all northern fields
against GSC, and listed candidate spurious GSC detections as STMxxxx (some
of which are regularly monitored by him).  He notes he found a specially
enhanced such detections around M33 (not galaxy contaminations).  Considering
the effort of doing this, identification of all CoD stars may be within
capability of a group of a few persons.
