Could you give me the PASP reference for the CV Aql chart?
One survey that will likely turn up hundreds of CV candidates
is SDSS. Early results sure have a lot of candidates. Since
most of the ones with easily observed visual outbursts have
quiescent magnitudes in the 19-20 range, they are easily
picked up by SDSS, and have complete color information as
well. QUEST (the Venezuelan spectroscopic survey) should yield
many candidates as well. All of these will need subsequent
followup...
