[vsnet-chat 1992] Re: NY Ser

Re: [vsnet-chat 1990] Re: NY Ser

One comment from my side. It will be worth noting that the dwarf-nova
nature was first revealed by a pioneering amateur CCD observer, M. Iida
(VSOLJ), who published his results (with those by Ouda team) in IBVS 4208
(1995). The variable star name NY Ser was given according to this
discovery. He indeed made time-resolved CCD photometry during a likely
superoutburst, but the relatively short time-coverage, and the unexpectedly
long superhump period made detection of superhumps unluckily inconclusive.
