Re: [vsnet-chat 1990] Re: NY Ser One comment from my side. It will be worth noting that the dwarf-nova nature was first revealed by a pioneering amateur CCD observer, M. Iida (VSOLJ), who published his results (with those by Ouda team) in IBVS 4208 (1995). The variable star name NY Ser was given according to this discovery. He indeed made time-resolved CCD photometry during a likely superoutburst, but the relatively short time-coverage, and the unexpectedly long superhump period made detection of superhumps unluckily inconclusive.
