Dear Berto,

In the earlier versions of GCVS, many other variables were (mis-)classified
as NL(:)s, but I understand most of them have been fixed.
I will not be surprized if I see an eruptive-looking variable star
classified as NL(:)s, such as a recently designated V381 Lac (NL: 12.5-(16.2v;
this star more looks like a red variable from its IRAS identification),
but I can't understand why these Hipparcos variables have been thus
classified.
