Per some user's requests, I wrote a short program that converts the .dat files
into sexigesimal versions. As an example, I've converted var61her.dat into
var61her.sex. If any of the requestors of the files on the ftp server really
need sexigestimal coordinates, I can convert the necessary files. Let me
know individually. I also uploaded var61her.ps, an example of the kind of
postscript finding chart I usually generate from the .dat files. If you want
the Fortran source code for either program, just let me know (you will need
slalib for coordinate conversions and supermongo for plotting, or else modify
the source code yourself).
I observed one night earlier this week, and may be able to do so tonight as well.
This means there will be a few more .dat field photometry files available by
Monday. Check the ftp site next week to see if your favorite field has been observed.
I'm still looking for a southern observer with a CCD and I-band filter who would
be willing to take a couple of observations for me in the next couple of weeks.
