Designation of new variable stars
Dear Prof. Samus,
We now have two new "CATACLYSMIC VARIABLES IN PEGASUS" (cd. IAUC 6982
and IAUC 7021), which are quite confusing to observers. Is there any
suggested way of discriminating these variables by names (e.g. by some
sort of tentative designations by the GCVS team?). We also have "New Cet",
"New Aur" etc. (CVs by the BAO team), which are potential causes of future
confusions.
