Dear Taichi Kato and Peter Nelson,
My plot program works on the basis that only single spaces separate the
x/y/mag/legend fields. The program was re-written to handle the larger
x/y values that came into use in April. At the same time the SCALE heading
was taken into account and faint magnitude limiting added.
The program works in the DOS environment, but it can be installed under
a Windows icon. It is necessary to ensure that *.CHT files are saved with
the conventional carriage-return AND line-feed characters.
(from browsers as well as e-mail - ie; the same as standard *.TXT files.)
The suggested change would make my program fail, and might also affect
other plot programs!
Regards,
Dave
