I have been often wondering whenever I hear dark-adapted visual sensation
is much more blue-sensitive than Johnson V. I have seen a +0.2(B-V) term,
and even +0.5(B-V). From my experience and estimates of other observers
in my country, such large positive term is incredible. Perhaps Japanese
observers are red-sentive (less adapted to catacluysmics ;-), or they too
suffer from the light pollution to fully attain dark adaptation...
I have heard comet observers use VT rather than V. I would love to hear
comments from them also.
