[vsnet-chat 830] Two suspect variables

  Dear observers,

  I describe two suspect variables near galaxies. As such
they may otherwise be pitfalls for SN hunters. 

  I have not up-to-date information of variable catalogues however,
so I appreciate more information of these stars. Are they worth
monitoring?

First:
USNO 1575.03105885 RA 10 17 50.722, DEC +73 25 13.77 (17.7B 11.0R)
- 11th mag on DSS, but 17th mag on Juhani Salmi's galaxy card set.
Near NGC 3147. Also CP Dra nearby.

Second:
Not on USNO. Approx. RA 12 17 45, DEC +37 55 40
- 13th mag on DSS, but 17th mag on Juhani Salmi's galaxy card set.
Near NGC 4244.
