[vsnet-chat 688] Re: Possible nova in 1927

Within the quoted error of the position of the possible nova, I could
find only one (suspected) variable star.

034300.21 +573356.0 (2000.0) 8.1
IRAS03389+5724 033858.0 +572419 (1950.0)

034300.2 +573355 (2000.0) 834HV2 0.26 HIP017361 plx=-0.44(1.08) (0.01 0.01) U 8.30-8.52

034259.8 +573351 (2000.0) BD+57.739 8.0

This is a new variable star detected by Hipparcos, having an unknown
type classification. The color (B-V=0.26) suggests an early-type star,
while the IRAS fluxes are rather unusual (strongest at 100micron).
I wonder weather any spectrocopic observation exists for this star, and whether there is any possibility of a two-mag outburst in
this class of object.
